The truth is that I don’t understand it. How you

The truth is that I don’t understand it. How you can be drinking the night away and then wake up full of tears the next day. The dichotomy of how life can feel so full and yet so empty at the same time. If you asked me how Greece was, I would tell you that it’s the time of my life and one of the places on earth that I feel most alive, and I wouldn’t be lying. But the truth would be that as happy as I am here there is also a hollowness I am learning to live with. It’s easy to pretend otherwise, most people wouldn’t be able to discern the difference anyways. But it’s important to me that I don’t. That you know how much you mattered. That I laughed and I cried and I laughed and I cried and I’m thankful that for whatever reason this was the place we got to heal if even just a little.

If u had asked me who I was most afraid to lose I would most likely have said Buster. That’s mostly because I was so acutely aware that his time with me was limited. I would even make dark jokes about when he passes and it was clearly an attempt to prepare and cushion the intense feelings I knew I would have. He felt like such a gift to me. A gift from God. A gift from Michelle. A gift from the universe. Every morning I woke up I was grateful that I got to have another day with him. That is, until I didn’t. My heart is shattered into a million pieces and I’m honestly just trying to figure out how I’m going to cope without my best friend. There are only two people in this world who shared their life with Buster like I did and while I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone, I can’t lie and say I’m not grateful that I’m not alone in this. There are many of you that held a special place for Buster in your heart and I knew he loved that and so do I. The price for intense love will sometimes be intense pain but I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could just have a little more time. #thankyoumoreplease

Nothing before it’s time! A couple years back I planned a quick stop on a trip to go to Singapore. We were spending one day at Marina Bay Sands (it’s quite pricey) and what I really wanted was to go check out their pool if I’m being honest. Right before our plane took off from Thailand I started feeling really nauseous which turned out to be some kind of food poisoning. I spent the entire day and night in the hotel room (read: bathroom) and didn’t see one ounce of Singapore. Right before check out I gathered enough strength just to go LOOK at the pool and I was turned back because they were having a private function up there WTF. Then the trip to China this year just kinda came out of nowhere and we decided we would stop in Singapore at the very end. The idea of going back to MBS came up and I hesitated cause it was even more expensive and frankly most likely not worth the price tag. I was wondering if I would have the same luck again but this experience was the complete opposite. They allowed us to check in early, gave us an upgrade and the check in lady couldn’t have been sweeter. You know as soon as we dropped the bags I ran up to the pool 😂… and just to try and get some moneys worth we went again in the night. Woulda gone a third time the next morning but alas lightning was striking. It was an amazing experience but a little too crowded for my taste. But now it’s one more check on my life bucket list! #nothingbeforeitstime
